New York, the sequel

I am in New York with Daniel! We’re staying in Williamsburg this time so that maybe some hip will rub off onto me. We landed last night, and we’ll be here for a week and a half-ish. The weirdest part of being here is that it isn’t weird at all- and that’s what you’re supposed [...]

E.B. White _Writings from the New Yorker 1927-1976

While I was in New York, I started doing a lot more reading (thanks, F and 6 line!), and like millions of others, fell in love with Gay Talese and E.B. White. As cheeseball as it sounds, I felt obligated to read all their selected works regarding New York City while I was there, just [...]

I’m still not in New York

I still get emails now and then from newsletters I subscribed to while I was in New York. summer

it feels like it here. Dawn, remember last week when it was winter in New York, and it was the most beautiful thing you’ve ever experienced? Yeah, I remember it. It feels so long ago. It’s because it’s far away

I was in New York

I was walking across Grand Central not long ago, and I walked right into someone’s frame of what was to be an otherwise perfect photo of a trip to New York. Despite the fact that they were using a disposable camera, It probably would’ve been framed in the nicest frame to compensate for the quality. [...]

I am in New York_ Final Fantasy

I went with marshall to see Final Fantasy and the Mountain Goats at Webster Hall. Owen Pallett was aweeeesome and we left after a few songs of the Mountain Goats-  it did not sit well in our ears, especially after Final Fantasy’s glorious performance.
